House Plant Care Cards

Beginning this year I started collecting houseplants. I stayed away from the houseplant trend for awhile believing I wasn’t fit for taking care of plants. In the past, anytime I’ve taken in a plant (including succulents) they’ve slowly disintegrated while in my care. This time around, I spent a lot more time researching how to take care of them. Below is how I’ve summarized the basics:

  1. Don’t overwater the plant (To avoid root rot)

  2. Make sure it gets enough light (This is what lets your plant photosynthesize)

  3. There are actually many different types of pests, here’s a guide for identifying pests by Greenery Unlimited (Most of the time giving your plant a shower and then applying Neem oil on the leaves will solve the problem)

  4. Observe your plants whenever you can (Spending time observing your plants is the best way to learn about how to properly care for them)

I might make a more comprehensive post about plant care in the future but for now enjoy these quick plant care illustration care cards I made. You can save them as images for reference. Plant care tips on the cards are from — https://dynastyplantshop.com (they're a great plant shop in Toronto).
